LETTER: Misha B's estranged mother wants a reunion
THE ESTRANGED mother of X Factor contestant Misha B says she wants nothing more than a reunion with the star.
Florence Bryan, a reformed heroin addict, has written an open letter to the 19-year-old saying she's sorry for leaving the youngster her with her sister when she was only three months old.
In her letter, published in Now magazine, Bryan says: “When I heard you say on The X Factor that you didn’t know your real mum, or why she abandoned you, I felt all the heartbreak from when I parted with you 19 years ago come flooding back.
“It was the hardest decision of my life. As a mother I wanted the best for you, and at the time I felt I couldn’t give you what you deserved. I didn’t think it would be forever and I was thankful to Lil for caring for you. I never thought that you’d call her your mum. I always wanted to play a big part in your life.”
Bryan, who has been clean for three years, admitted that her 19-year addition, at one point, landed her in jail.
She wrote: “I spent 21 months in prison and when I came out, I was off drugs. When I came to see you, you were calling my sister Mum.
“I’d beg friends and family for news of how you were. And I never, ever stopped loving you. People told me what a wonderful, talented woman you were growing into and my heart would burst with pride.
“When I first saw you on The X Factor I think I was the proudest person on earth. It was overwhelming. I’ve seen and recorded every single show. I watch some back up to 17 times a day,” Bryan continued.
Last week Misha told the Sunday Mirror that she only considered her aunty Lil as her mother, although she would welcome a reunion with her biological mother in her own time.
She said: "Maybe I will get in touch one day, but only when I'm ready.
“The way I look at it, a person might be able to give birth but that doesn't make them a mother. The only person I ever needed was my auntie. She was mother and a father to me.”
The teen is yet to make an official comment on her biological mother’s letter.

And why should she make a comment? I wonder whether her mother has tried to get in touch within the three years she has been 'clean' or is is just because Misha is on the X Factor? I don't think this young girl should be pressured to say anything until she is ready. She has had enough pressure methinks.
Misha B
An Absolute raw talent. The best on the x-factor by a mile, nevertheless, the best does not always win. I am sure there are an army our own producers out there waiting to snap her up.
I was disgraced by the Bullying actions of Mr Walsh and Tulisa, to think they are suppose to be in the business! With no evidence and simply word of mouth, they chose to publicly execute her character, (not much different to lynching)
As a people we put up with this form of subtle racism far too much, why is the equal ops bodies we oversee not calling the show to task?
Good luck Misha, God Bless
