ALICIA KEYS has been forced to add a second date to the London leg of her Girl on Fire tour after selling out O2 Arena shortly after announcing she would play there last week.
The singer, who will also perform in Liverpool, Newcastle, Manchester, Birmingham and Nottingham next May, will now wrap up her seven-date tour at the popular east London venue on May 31.
“I’m so excited to be touring again and coming back in the UK!!! I’m looking forward to performing and feeling the energy of the crowd—there’s nothing like it. I plan to bring you something Emotional and exciting! I’m a brand new me,” the Fallin' star said.
Since the 2001 release of her debut album, Songs in A Minor, Keys has sold more than 30 million albums and 30 million singles sold and racked up over one hundred awards, including fourteen Grammy Awards, eleven Billboard Music Awards and three MTV Europe Awards.
On her latest album, also titled Girl on Fire, she added: “I’m in love with this album!! It is full of new beginnings, new perspectives and fresh starts,” said Keys. “I’m so excited to be touring again and it’s great to be back in the UK!!!
Tickets for the additional date will go sale on December 7.
