Appeal after shots fired on south London estate

ENQUIRIES ARE continuing after a number of gun shots were fired on a south west London estate this morning (Feb 28).

Officers attended the scene on the Tachbrook Estate at approximately 2.20pm today and found no persons injured and there were no reports of anyone being injured.

A dark coloured Ford Focus car that was seen to leave the scene at speed was stopped by officers. The car was found to have sustained what is believed to be ballistic damage.

The occupants of the car, two men both aged 23, were arrested. They have both since been bailed pending to a date in late April pending further inquiries.

Subsequent witness inquiries suggest two suspects - both black males, wearing hooded tops, who may have left the scene on pushbikes.

Officers from the Trident Gang Command investigate - they retain an open mind as to the motive at this early stage.
