Balotelli gets police let off over ‘threatening behaviour’

LET OFF: Balotelli (PA)

MARIO BALOTELLI faces no further investigation into a complaint made to police about the Liverpool player threatening a woman who was taking pictures of his Ferrari.

Last week the striker was reported to Greater Manchester Police in connection with allegedly threatening a woman’s daughter who was taking photographs in Pewsey Road, Wythenshawe.

No further action is being taken due to the woman deciding not to make a formal complaint.

In a statement, police said: “No criminal offences were disclosed and no crime recorded.

“Police were called to Pewsey Road, Wythenshawe, just after 3pm on Thursday, 23 October 2014 following reports of threatening behaviour.

“Officers have since spoken to the complainant [and] no further action will be taken.”

The day before the incident Balotelli was in action for Liverpool in the Champions League as he saw his side lose 3-0 to Real Madrid.
