PRIDE: Barbados aims to voice concerns to Trump
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Barbados (ICAB) Reginald Farley urges for a diplomatic push towards Trump’s camp in order to get issues of concern to Barbados on the president’s mind.
Listing a number of issues to the region that should be brought up, including those relating to the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, Farley suggested having someone like Trump does provide some opportunity. “Having someone like Donald Trump, even though he might not be the choice of Barbadians as the president, gives you an opportunity.”
“He has been so non-specific in his policy prescription during the election that he does not have to be tied to anything. And I believe that his perspective will be as yet outlined in the heart of the deal. So we need really to move early,” Farley stressed.
