Beyoncé earns more than Rihanna, says new rich list

I GOT MY MONEY: Rihanna is one of music's highest female earners

RIHANNA, BEYONCE and Nicki Minaj are three of the ten highest paid female musicians this year.

The 10 Highest Paid Women in Music list, compiled by Forbes, takes into account the income between June 1 2012 and June 2013.

It factors in concert ticket sales, endorsement deals, business ventures, royalties for recorded music and merchandising sales.

Starships rapper Nicki Mini shared tenth place with fellow American Idol judge rival Mariah Carey. According to the list, they both earned $29m before tax.

Rihanna, who was sixth on the list, topped the two competition panelists by over $10m, with an annual earning at $43m. She also triumphs over best friend, Katy Perry who earned $39m.

Beyonce missed out on a spot in the top three to Taylor Swift.

The R&B singer, who released a new self-titled album today, earned a reported $53 this year.
