TROUBLES: Katt Williams
THE DEMISE of US comedian Katt Williams has been blamed on an alleged mental health disorder opposed to drug abuse.
According to the website NecoleBitchie the 39-year-old was diagnosed with Bipolar disorder in 2008, but chose to keep the issue private.
A source reportedly told the website: “I used to be a part of Katt Williams’ camp and I would like to remain anonymous.
“I am really hoping you post this. I know his girlfriend (who needs just as much help as he does) searches for this stuff online and shows it to him. Katt has outcasted EVERYONE who cares about him for trying to help him.
He is not on drugs which is what the public thinks. Katt was diagnosed Bipolar Schizophrenic back in 2008 after he did a two week stretch in the mental institution,” they added.
The claims follow the Live Nation’s signings announcement that he is “retiring” from comedy following a series of arrests.
Speaking to Seattle TV station KOMO on Monday (Dec 3) the comic, who was interviewed on the street, said: "I'm just going to go ahead and announce my retirement from stand-up. I'm kinda done."
"I've already discussed it with my kids. I wasn't really going to do it on a Seattle street. I was going to Los Angeles and do it in the offices of ICM or LiveNation,” he concluded.
