REVENGE OR REPEAT?: Brook (left) versus Jones
FOLLOWING A lengthy injury lay-off, Kell Brook will return to action at Craven Park in Hull on July 13 where he will face a previous opponent that he barely managed to defeat.
The undefeated welterweight was twice forced to withdraw for world title fights against IBF champion Devon Alexander in 2013 but will be making his in-ring comeback against Carson Jones in the summer.
Nicknamed ‘The Special One’, the 27-year-old Brook from Sheffield struggled against the American Jones when they previously met in July 2012, with Brook being declared the victor by a majority decision verdict.
It will be Brook’s first contest since October.
Confirming the announcement of the bout, his promoter Eddie Hearn told ESPN: “Kelly Brook will return after a frustrating period, rematching Carson Jones following their epic battle last July.”
