CCTV images released in connection with disorder

FILMED: Two unidentified men

POLICE IN Hackney are appealing for the help of the public to identify two individuals they wish to speak to in connection with burglaries committed during last summer's riots.

The images are from CCTV footage filmed during the disorder in various areas of Hackney, east London, on August 8, 2011.

One picture is of a white male wearing a black cycle helmet. He is seen entering the Carhartt Outlet Store in Ellingfort Road, E8, between 5.30pm and 5.45pm.

The other image is of a black male who is seen entering Boots Opticians in Mare street, E8 at around 4.45pm.

"A year on and we are still working hard to track down the people responsible for last summer's disorder,” said Detective Sergeant Ian Coleman, from the Metropolitan North East area Withern team.

“The two photos released are very clear, I hope that someone somewhere will be able to identify them."

Anyone with information is asked to contact DS Coleman on 0207 275 3305, quoting the image reference number. Or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
