CCTV images released following armed betting shop robbery

POLICE INVESTIGATING an armed robbery on a south London bookmakers have released CCTV images of the suspects in a hope the public can assist with their enquiries.

The grainy pictures show two of the three men inside Ladbrokes in on Croydon Road, SE20 on Aug 9 earlier this year.

One produced a handgun, described as a brown revolver, and demanded a female member of staff hand over the shop's takings. A third suspect held the door open.

Fearing for her safety, the cashier handed over a quantity of cash. The suspects then made off.

Extensive enquiries have so far failed to identify the suspects and detectives are now releasing CCTV images to the public. They show the two male suspects, one white and the other black, who approached the cashier.
