DECISION: Chris Brown is to remain under probation, per judge's order
CHRIS BROWN will remain under supervised probation for the 2009 assault on then girlfriend, Rihanna, a judge decided on Thursday (Feb 9).
Lawyers for Brown, who has been under the watchful eye of the authorities since the incident, had sought for the five-year punishment to be lifted because of his good behaviour.
The 22-year-old is believed to have completed half of the six months' worth of roadside cleanup, graffiti removal and other manual labour after pleading guilty to assualting the Rude Boy star.
Brown was able to perform at last night's Grammy awards despite Rihanna being in attendance after a judge relaxed a restraining order that had prohibited the pair from contacting each other or getting too close at industry events.
The Beautiful People singer also picked up 'Best R'n'B Album' at the prestigious ceremony for his multi-selling album, F.A.M.E (Forgiving All My Enemies).
The judge scheduled another progress hearing for July 10.
