HELP WANTED: Campaigners want black families to come
forward to help with docudrama

AN ANTI-racism in education campaigner is asking for help from the black community to develop a dramatised film that aims to explore the underachievement of black boys in school.

Paul Phoenix, from Parents against Racism in Schools, said he’s aiming to have the hour long project, called Educating Leroy, ready for this October, Black History Month.

“We want to address these issues from our perspective. We want to ask the questions about how boys’ underachieving became such a problem in the first place? And why is it still an issue in the year 2011? And what can we do about it?” he said.

However, to meet the October deadline, Phoenix said he urgently needs the community’s help.

“We are interested in doing this docudrama and we are asking for people with documentary making skills, writers, actors, actresses, film makers, educators, researchers to come on board. We need help from people in the community who have the skills to develop a good piece of docudrama or have an interest in the subject area. We want to use the talent we have to highlight these issues and to make it self-supporting,” he said.

People who would be interested in contributing to the documentary parties should contact Paul Phoenix at 07944025926 or email blpie@hotmail.com by July 31, 2011.

Message to above campaigner. Why don't you put yourself too even better use and ask the young black men who make the BNP's job easy by doing their "job" i.e destroying other young black people " Why are they intent on making black people look like savages in the eyes of white people by your actions?"
