Cosby counter-sues over rape claims

DESPITE FACING multiple allegations from different women that he drugged and raped them, American TV comic Bill Cosby is counter-suing one of the claimants on the basis she tried to financially blackmail him.

Judith Huth has claimed Cosby, 77, plied her with alcohol and forced her to perform a sex act on him when she was 15 years old in 1974 at the Playboy Mansion in California.

However, the actor’s lawsuit alleges Huth’s lawyer asked Cosby’s representatives for $250,000 (£159,510), which would stop her from suing the TV star.

Cosby’s legal team is demanding $33,000 (£21,000) in legal fees from Huth and her lawyer Martin Strecker.

Huth has claimed the alleged 1974 incident has caused her recent psychological damage, but Cosby’s lawyers argue that she has failed to produce official certification from a qualified psychologist concerning her mental state.

Cosby is facing a series of sex abuse claims from various women that date back to the 1970s.
