Cosmic Fevah

POPULAR ACT: Cosmic Fevah

THEY’VE BEEN together less than two years, but already Cosmic Fevah are raising the temperature in Midlands-based live music circles with their unique blend of a jazzy reggae sound.

Cosmic Fevah is a fully live nine-piece band who have already worked with many international and local artists, taking their music all over the world.

They are led by Errol Melbourne, a musician by trade, who is also a mentor supporting inmates on gun and knife crime issues.

“We believe our music sets us apart from other bands as we creatively play our own music which is a blend of jazz, R&B, soul-fused with reggae – it’s a great sound,” said Errol.

“We are constantly working on new material and are planning another local event in May. The inspiration for our work tends to come from people we like to listen to such as Brian McKnight, Lauryn Hill, Jodeci, Gill Scott, Erica Badu and Boys II Men – the list could just go on.”

Cosmic Fevah’s first public performance was at the prestigious Royal Windsor racecourse, working alongside Amy Winehouse’s best friend Tyler James, who made it to the finals of BBC's TV show The Voice UK.

Band members have also worked with various artists including Freddie McGregor, Edwin Star, Ken Booth, Nigel Kennedy, Ruby Turner and Steel Pulse.
