Creativity celebrated at media awards

CO-HOST: Kelechi Okafor

NOW DUE to celebrate its fourth event, the Screen Nation Digital is Media Awards show is set to return early next year.

Fronting the show on January 14 will be two very diverse but distinct creative talents in actor, writer and producer Nii Odartei Evans alongside actress, writer and twerk fitness guru Kelechi Okafor.

The two dynamic personalities have carved out highly respected careers for themselves with their unique brand of creative energies that has seen them make constant appearances across most broadcasters, mainstream press and social media.

The Digital is Media Awards, which are open to professional and non-professional content creators, online publishers, editors and creatives launched its call for entries earlier this year, and closed on December 5.

Angelica Bagot, aka GeGe, appointed creative director of the next awards ceremony, said:

"The Screen Nation Digital is Media Awards is very close to my heart and I am so proud that it has grown to become an important annual event honouring many of the UK's leading content creators.

"As the only awards platform dedicated solely to black British online work, I'm both humbled and excited to contribute o cheering on and helping raise the profile of these awards through showcasing the incredible work being created by these digital innovators.”
