NEW ROLE: Curle
FORMER ENGLAND international and Queens Park Rangers assistant manager, Keith Curle, has been unveiled as the manager of Notts County.
The 48-year-old ex-Manchester City, Wolves and Wimbledon player takes charge of the League One side following Martin Allen’s sacking on Saturday (February 19).
Since the defender retired from football in 2005, Curle spent three years as player-manager at Mansfield Town before moving on to Chester City and then to Torquay United.
From March 2010, Curle was the assistant manager at Queens Park Rangers before being relieved of his duties along with the then Hoops manager Neil Warnock in January.
Together with Birmingham City’s Chris Hughton and Chris Powell at Charlton, Curle is now one of three black managers in the League Football.
