Dr. Dre officially Hip Hop's richest 'Cash King'

WINNING: Dr. Dre

LEGENDARY RAPPER and producer Dr. Dre has ended the reign of fellow rapper and
Hip Hop mogul Jay-Z at the top of the Forbes’ 'Hip-Hop Cash King' list.

According to the magazine's annual list, the former NWA member landed the top spot after earning a cool $110 million (£68.5m) generated from the revenues of his hugely prevalent Beats by Dre headphones.

The pricy Beats have become universally popular following celebrity endorsements from Nicki Minaj, Swizz Beats and Usain Bolt, along with a host of other stars.

Hip-hop mogul Lil' Wayne is said to be the latest to claim a stake in the Beats phenomenon, with reports claiming that the Mirror hit-maker is set to release his own custom line of the headphones next month.

Landing at number two on the list is Diddy at $45 million (£28m), followed by Jay-Z with $38 million (£23m).
