ACCLAIMED ACTOR Dwayne Johnson has confirmed that he will be wearing black in support of the silent #MeToo protest at next year's Golden Globe awards.

A number of actresses plan to wear black gowns at the annual ceremony in order to protest against the injustices that have been rife in Hollywood for decades, which have sparked the ongoing #MeToo movement.

Johnson took to social media to share that he ‘will’ be wearing all black as well in solidarity, confirming his outfit choices under an Instagram post by celebrity stylist Ilaria Urbinati, who has worked with clients such as Johnson, himself, Donald Glover, Chris Evans and Bradley Cooper.

‘Because everyone keeps asking me… YES, the men WILL be standing in solidarity with women on this wearing-all-black movement to protest against gender inequality at this year’s Golden Globes,’ she wrote.

‘At least ALL MY GUYS will be. Safe to say this may not be the right time to choose to be the odd man out here… just sayin…’

‘Yes we will,’ replied Johnson.

The 75th Golden Globe Awards will take place on 7 January 2018.
