Milliband wants your vote. In reality Milliband Cameron and all the rest are from the same background and probably good friends down the pub. Like Obama and George bush.Theyre all the same and all playing the lying game to feather their nests.

Blacks constitute only 3% or so of England's population but their representation amongst the rioters was 20x that of their % of the population. It's not brain surgery but it is an uncomfortable truth that apparently hurts deeply when alluded to. If we are to be truthful about racism--and we should--we need to be truthful about this as well.

The kind of "black" style Starkey was refering to is more of a youth sub-culture - not really a culture at all. Branding all black people with that style that is not on. This comes across to me as wilful ignorance on Starkey's part. He otherwise seems an intelligent man and could do a lot better, I'm dissapointed.

Ed Milliband's reaction to what Starkey said as "racist" and "absolutely disgusting" comes across as finger pointing and political point scoring to me.

The point is that Starkey, whatever and however racist his opinions, was mistaken, not that all politicians must now follow Ed's example thereby proving his credentials as a sensitive and leading example. That's just political point scoring.

The looting that took place during London Riot happened beacuse looters thought they could get away with it. Once the shutters and doors were broken down or destroyed those who were their thought it free for all.
My advise to young people or people who are young at heart is that never follow a crowd to commit evil(robbery, violence, arson, rape etc)

i am no particular fan of david starky or enough powell how ever i think its time that the politicians stopped running for cover every time race is mentioned,grow up and face the facts.it is a hugely complex issue but if evidentual statistics show that a particular ethnic group is significantly involved in a particular type of crime then it is esential that this be made a matter of public record so that it can be discussed in an adult way. too many criminals use this as a screen to hide behind or even as a defence for there actions.weather my views are correct or not we must be able to discuss the issue in public without the fear of being branded racist.
