CONTROVERSY: Elephant Man turns to God after rape charge
ELEPHANT MAN has said that he believes that his recent rape and sexual assault charges are 'tests' from God.
The dancehall star, who is said to be a Christian, went on to say that he is looking at his Bible to try and understand why he is at the centre of the allegations.
"I see some wickedness people say and try bring towards Elephant Man. No man, no woman can eva say me, Elephant Man, have a woman problem, [sic],” he told Jamaican TV station CVMTV.
“I laugh, a look at the Bible. There’s no way on Earth this could happen. This a one more test Fada God,” he added.
Last week the 36-year-old said he had learned a 'lesson' from the whole ordeal, when speaking outside of court after being granted bail.
He said: “See, we out and we just give thanks and praise to the almighty god and we make the fans them know the Energy God nah let you down.”
“Right now life too precious; we a role model so right now this a no hype ting, mi nuh come out pon no hype ting. This is a lesson fi me," he added.
Jamaican Law enforcement officials have said that they cannot provide further details about the case developing against the musician, but are investigating the incident.
The case continues.
