Ex-Grenfell Tower resident General Saint's moving song

TRIBUTE: General Saint

EX-GRENFELL Tower resident General Saint has collaborated with a number of artists called ‘Voices for Grenfell’ for a heartfelt tribute to remember those who lost loved ones at the devastating fire.

The track was written by General Saint, also known as Winston Hislop, who had hits such as Oh Carol.

As a well-established musician, Saint tells his story following the death, devastation and displacement caused by a huge fire at Grenfell Tower on June 14, 2017.

A spokesperson for the project said:

"A humble group of engineers, musicians, vocalists gathered together to create an all-star cast to contribute to a song for and by former residents of the Tower."

The Luton-based reggae artist mourns for old friends and many others who lost their lives in this poignant tragedy and brings his vision to reality with Homeward Bound. Studio facilities were provided by Kienda Hoji at Westminster University whilst Nando’s and Levi Roots took care of Catering.
