Fears for London rapper missing in Brazil

MISSING: Kenny Paul Mukendi

A YOUNG man from Woolwich, London who currently lives in Brazil has gone missing, causing concern among his family and friends back in the UK.

Kenny Paul Mukendi moved to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in 2017 to pursue his music and acting career.

However, no-one has been able to identify his whereabouts since around 1pm on April 13 2018 when he left the recording studio to return to the residence he was sharing with his girlfriend.

His social media accounts were deleted soon after his disappearance and his phone was traced to 15 miles away from the studio, which was not on his route home. His friends and family are incredibly worried about him as this has never happened previously.

His girlfriend Renata Lima has appealed for help finding him after he left her house in Tijuca, northern Rio, on Thursday and then hasn't been heard from him since around 1pm the next day.

Speaking to Brazilian media, Lima explained how the last message she received from him was shortly before 1pm on Friday before his social media profiles apart from Twitter were deleted.

She also said that Kenny speaks very little Portuguese and all his belongings are in her house, including clothes and chargers.

Brazilian police say they are speaking to witnesses and analysing CCTV and The Foreign Office confirmed it is supporting the family of a British citizen and is in contact with Brazil's local authorities.

To support his family at this time and help Kenny’s family cover the costs of the search for him, donate to their GoFundMe here.
