Five arrests in south London stabbing

ARRESTS: Five people have been arrested in connection with the murder of 22-year-old Jerry Iyiku

POLICE INVESTIGATING the murder of a 22-year-old in south London last week have made five arrests.

Jerry Iyiku was stabbed to death in a Ladbrokes betting shop on Old Kent Road last Tuesday (July 19).

London Ambulance Service and London's Air Ambulance attended but Mr Iyiku was pronounced dead at the scene.
A post-mortem gave the cause of death as a stab wound to the heart.

There have been five persons arrested on suspicion of murder.

On Friday (July 22) a man was arrested and later bailed to return in September pending further inquiries.

Three more men and a woman were arrested the following day (July 23). The men remain in custody and the unnamed woman has been bailed to return in September pending further inquiries.
