Fourth arrest over Jordan Douherty murder

VICTIM: Jordan Douherty

A FOURTH arrest has been made over the fatal stabbing of Jordan Douherty, the 15-year-old boy who was killed outside a community centre on Saturday (June 23).

The teenager was beaten and stabbed during three separate attacks outside the party, which escalated into a brawl on the street.

Working on the case, DCI Smith said: “We believe that this birthday party was advertised on social media, resulting in a large number of people attending.”

A number of people were escorted out of the community centre and this led to a fight breaking out and tragically, Jordan receiving fatal injuries.”

According to witnesses who were on the scene, friends shouted "he's dead" as groups of teenagers "scattered" following the attack.

A post-mortem examination found that Douherty died from hypovolemic shock as a result of the stab wound to the left ventricle of the heart.

Three others teenagers aged, 15, 16 and 17 who were held at the scene on suspicion of murder, have been released under investigation.

Douherty is the youngest victim of more than 80 murder investigations that have been launched across London this year.
