A GERMAN businessman implicated in a child pornography case has been remanded until January 23.
Sven Littkowski, who is a businessman from Musgrave Avenue in the Jamaican parish of St. Andrew, appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court yesterday.
The matter was rescheduled after his attorney, Aon Stewart, told the court that he needed to take further instructions from his client.
Littkowski was charged with three counts of possession of child pornography last Wednesday, following an operation that was conducted at his home by police.
It is alleged that several computers and hard drives on which sexually explicit photographs and videos of minors are stored were seized.
The case file and evidence were subsequently referred to the Organised Crime Investigation Division (OCID) for further investigations.
It is further alleged that OCID investigators also obtained evidence, which indicated that the accused illegally performed the duties of a doctor, who could provide fertility treatment for women.
