Ghana and Ivory Coast on course for final clash

IN THE GOALS: Ghana star Christian Atsu

THE 2015 Africa Cup of Nations is on schedule for a dream final.

Both Ivory Coast and Ghana have reached the semi-finals to possibly set up the match that most observers wanted.

Wilfried Bony scored twice in the 3-1 win against Algeria to take Ivory Coast into the semi-finals of the tournament.

The new Manchester City striker headed the Elephants in front from a right-wing cross by Max Gradel.

Hilal Soudani equalised for Algeria against the run of play early in the second half and then forced goalkeeper Sylvain Gbohouo into a brilliant save.

But Bony, yet to play for City, notched the winner to put the favourites in the semis.

Ghana eased into their fifth consecutive Africa Cup of Nations semi-final by beating Guinea 3-0. Christian Atsu was the Black Stars' hero with a brace.
