Gunners welcome back wingers

BACK IN BUSINESS: Serge Gnabry and Theo Walcott (right) have returned from injury

ARSENAL'S MUCH chronicled injury problems has received a boost with the news of two returning stars. There will be relief on the red side of north London as Theo Walcott and Serge Gnabry both returned to fill training yesterday (October 13) after nine months on the treatment table.

Walcott's last game was Arsenal's 2-0 FA Cup win against local rivals Tottenham Hotspur in January, on the clubs way to collecting the trophy at Wembley.

Both attackers have been out with knee injuries, and it is perfect timing for the club with Aaron Ramsey and Mesut Ozil ruled out for four and 12 weeks, respectively.

In recent weeks there have been pointed questions aimed at the club's medical staff as as many as 11 players have been injured at one time. There are also concerns that Danny Welbeck may have taken a knock before being substituted for England against Estonia on Sunday afternoon (October 12).

Walcott was clearly happy to be back in the thick of things, as he posted on Twitter: “First full training session after 9 months – feeling good!!!”

The former Southampton player may be on the bench for the home game against Hull City on Saturday as he looks to regain full fitness.
