Hair care and business awards set for Birmingham on Oct 24

BEX LIVE and Frizzle TV, the home hair care shopping channel, will stage the inaugural Enterprise and Hair Stare Awards in Birmingham on October 24.

It will be a special night to honour the innovations, services and creativity of the black and minority ethnic community in the West Midlands.

A host of celebrities will descend upon Hilton Birmingham Metropole from 7pm to honour individuals who have made a difference, including former double Olympic heptathlon champion Denise Lewis OBE.

Bex Live is leading the way to highlight these businesses and present them to a global audience, while Frizzle TV enables these women to buy from the comfort of their own home.

The two entities have come together to honour a number of celebrities and businesses on the night.

Black-owned business generate £10 billion in the UK, while black women spend nearly £97 million pounds a year on hair care products.

Additionally, research shows that black women are six times more likely to spend on hair care than any other cultural group.

Other names confirmed to attend include actress Angela Griffin, Eastenders actress, Ellen Thomas, grime star Lady LeShurr and TV presenter Angie Greaves among others.

Entertainment of the night will include The Voice UK star, Letitia George, award-winning gospel legend, Sandra Godley and Afrobeats Stars Dosty & Miss Pam. Lovers rock singer Peter Spence will also serenade the crowd.
