READY TO RUMBLE: Tony Bellew taunts David Haye from the ring last year, a spat which was mentioned this morning
IN A televised interview with Sky's Soccer AM this morning, heavyweight boxer David Haye called fellow fighter and long-time rival Tony Bellew a "yapping Chihuahua", promising to give him a "beat down".
Haye's comments are the latest in a string of cross words and incidents between the two, who had a punch-up at a press conference last November.
One of the most provocative statements from Haye this morning depicted Bellew as a 'Chihuahua':
"The pitbull and the Chihuahua's gonna be in a cage and we're gonna see what happens to the little Chihuahua".
Hours after Haye's appearance, Bellew posted the following on Twitter:
"Worked myself to exhaustion this morning! I've done EVERYTHING I possibly can! I'm READY! No EXCUSES camp is over! Bring it @mrdavidhaye".
