J Hus sends message to fans after pleading not guilty

DIFFICULT TIMES: J Hus

RAPPER J HUS has sent a message to his fans after pleading not guilty to knife possession in a public place.

The Dark Vader hitmaker appeared at Snaresbrook Crown Court on Friday (Jul 20), where he denied carrying a weapon ‘without good reason or lawful authority’ after he was detained by police and charged after officers stopped and searched the car he was travelling in and discovered a bladed article in Stratford on 21 June.

The 23-year-old denied the single charge, under his real name Momodou Jallow and was released on bail and was said to be due to appear in front of the court again on November 15 for a pre-trial review.

Taking to Instagram, the east London MC said of his legal troubles that he could ‘only blame himself for this mistake’ before advising his followers to ‘love themselves’ and ‘only have people around you that care about you.’ In another post, Hus revealed that he has not been ‘happy in a long time.’

The Mercury Prize nominee, who was hospitalised in September 2015 after being stabbed five times in London, said that he was aware people would judge him but pointed out that said people are the same ones who have ‘never experienced a sprinkle of the madness’ that he has endured.

He is due to due to appear in front of the court again on November 15 for a pre-trial review.
