Jaden Smith fronts Louis Vuitton’s new womenswear campaign

GENDERLESS CLOTHING: Actor Jaden Smith (far right) in Louis Vuitton's spring 2016 fashion campaign

ACTOR JADEN Smith has raised a few eyebrow after being named the face of high-end fashion brand Louis Vuitton's womenswear collection.

Louis Vuitton's creative director Nicolas Ghesquière surprised fans when he unveiled the brand's spring 2016 line and the campaign featured a special guest - the 17-year-old son of Hollywood stars Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith.

Where some have criticised the Karate Kid star, many have lauded his championing of gender-fluid fashion.

In the campaign, Smith is photographed by Bruce Weber in a moto jacket and metal embroidered skirt from the Louis Vuitton spring women’s collection, along with three female models.

It’s not the first time the young actor has been seen wearing a skirt. In 2015, he was Hunger Games actress Amandla Stenberg's prom date, and wore a black tuxedo jacket over a white skirt.

A vocal supporter of genderless clothing, Smith is spreading his vision to the luxury fashion industry.
