TROUBLE?: Rocawear fires 'half' of staff
JAY Z'S CLOTHING company is in financial trouble, it has been reported.
The hip-hop mogul is believed to have fired 28 of his 56 staff at designer label, Rocawear fueling rumours of the company's decline.
Insiders told the New York Post that the star had 'given up' on the label and that although he was once a 'big presence' in the office he rarely shows up anymore.
“Jay-Z doesn’t do anything without getting paid a lot of money, a lot more than Rocawear is generating," one insider said.
The 42-year-old rapper first established Rocawear in 1999 with his former business partner Damon Dash.

I have heard some of my friends say that the clothes that the label sells is not that comfortable, though they look quite nice. I think it really is a case of fashion before comfort. This leads me to believe that maybe the company is in trouble. Not that it will bother Jay-Z much, I am sure he has cash stashed all over the place from his album sales.
