'Jesus toaster' is Christmas hit

HIT: Jesus toaster

SALES OF a toaster that burns an image of Jesus Christ onto bread is a Christmas hit, according to reports.

The must-have appliance, nicknamed the 'Jesus toaster,' is believed to sell 'thousands' of units per day on the Burnt Impressions website in the run up to the big day.

"Wow! The response to our toasters this Christmas season has been awesome! I was a short order cook but I have never been swamped this way before," Wrote Galen Diveley, founder and president of the company, on the website.

Although the Vermont-based company began selling the item 18 months ago, Diveley believes that the holiday season, is to thank for the sudden boost in sales of the toaster, which retails for $34.95.
