JLS: So what if we use auto-tune?

JLS HAVE hit back at those who criticise them for using auto-tune, insisting that the voice altering technique is simply a part of pop music.

The Beat Again hit makers defended the use of sampling and vocal effects, saying that these things should make no difference because they can sing live.

Group member Aston Merrygold said: "If you get critics come and see the show. We can sing it live, so what's the problem? It's kind of pointless for them to criticize."

Band mate Oritse Williams added: “Music has moved forward in such an amazing way, and we are in a new school generation and that generation, stuff like music effects, auto tune and sampling is part of that."
