SIMON COWELL has offered to pay Kelly Rowland twice as much if she agrees to return to the next series of X Factor, it has been reported.

The former head judge on the ITV1 show is apparently so happy with his decision to bring the former Destiny’s Child star on the UK show, that he’s rumoured to be setting up a tantalising deal for the 2012 series.

If the 30-year-old signs up for a second year, she will see her alleged current wage of £400,000 shoot up to £800,000.

Cowell is also reportedly set to offer fellow judge, and N Dubz singer, Tulisa Contostavlos, 23, an equally impressive deal.

It is believed she will pocket at least £500,000, up from £250,000, if she signs on the dotted line.

An X Factor source told The People: “Tulisa and Kelly will definitely be back. Simon believes Tulisa is the next Cheryl and will be even bigger.

“At first Simon was worried about Cheryl not being on the show but those worries have now disappeared,” they said.

Kelly, Tulisa and Take That front man, Gary Barlow, controversially replaced Cowell, Dannii Minogue and Cheryl Cole on the judging panel of the popular ITV1 show earlier this year.

Last night Cowell spoke out about his new judges on ITV2’s Xtra Factor last night and said: “I think they’re great.

“Gary’s like a producer and he knows how to spot a star. Kelly, she’s like an athlete, and it’s this American professionalism – always, always on it.

“And Tulisa, she’s like the lippy brat, right? I like that. She’s bolshy. She has a good ear. I think they’re gonna do well.”
