Kevin Cadle passes away

SOCIAL NETWORKING platforms were awash with condolences for former Sky Sports presenter Kevin Cadle this morning following news that he had passed away unexpectedly.

Cadle, 62, was hailed as a ‘legend’ by the British Basketball League, who were among the first to tweet the sad news.

The longest serving presenter of American sports on Sky Sports Cadle was also a highly regarded Keynote/ Motivational Speaker and a premier NFL broadcaster and analyst.

“We are shocked & saddened to hear of the death of Kevin Cadle, a great friend of #NFLUK for so long. Our thoughts are with his loved ones,” read a tweet from NFL UK.

A statement from the BBL read: “We are shocked and saddened to hear that #BritishBasketball has lost a true legend in Kevin Cadle. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.”

Fellow sports presenter Stan Collymore said via twitter: “Extremely sad news to hear of the passing of Kevin Cadle. Sincere condolences to his friends and family.”

In a testimonial on Cadle’s own website Nick Stallard, Area Sales Manager, Birmingham Midshires said: "Kevin Cadle. The greatest Coach in the history of British Basketball"
