MURDERED: Notorious B.I.G
THE LOS Angeles Police Department have reportedly blamed an administrative error for the release of the autopsy report related to the death of late rapper Notorious B.I.G.
The report, which was obtained by TMZ, allegedly shows that the Sky’s The Limithit-maker was shot four times during a drive by shooting that took place in March, 1997, in Los Angeles.
It states that three of the shot were not fatal.
Gunshot number one struck The Notorious B.I.G, real name Christopher Wallace, in the left forearm and travelled down to his wrist.
Gunshot number two hit the 24-year-old in the back, missed all vital organs, and exited through his left shoulder and gunshot number three struck Wallace on his outer left thigh and exited through his inner left thigh.
However, a fourth shot entered his body through his right hip and went through several organs, damaging his colon, liver, heart and the upper lobe of his left lung.
According to The LA Times, the police force apologised to the Wallace family soon after the autopsy went public.
In a statement they reportedly said: "Due to an administrative error, the autopsy report was released prematurely. Robbery-Homicide Division detectives had intended to notify Mr. Wallace's family prior to releasing the report.”
