Lil Wayne to release memoir

MEMOIR: Rapper publishes journal entries depicting his time in prison

LIL WAYNE is set to release his first memoir later this year, it has been reported.

Gone Till November will give an in-depth look at the eight months the 29-year-old rapper spent behind bars in New York’s infamous Rikers Island prison on gun possession charges.

The hip-hop mogul, real name Dwayne Carter, was sentenced to a year and a day in March 2010, after he was caught carrying a pistol on his tour bus three years prior.

Described as an 'internal monologue', the content for the book was allegedly transcribed from the diary entries the wrote while incarcerated.

The memoir will be released via Grand Central Publishing, under the umbrella of Hachette Book Group, in November.
