ON-FORM striker Romelu Lukaku will stay at West Bromwich Albion for the remainder of the season after Chelsea did not recall the loanee to Stamford Bridge.
The west London club had the option of recalling the Belgium international but the deadline to bring him back expired on January 7.
Lukaku, 19, has been in excellent form for West Brom this season.
The forward has scored seven goals in 19 Premier League games for the Baggies and previously mentioned how playing regular matches has helped him to improve.
"He will remain at the Hawthorns for the rest of the season. Chelsea's January option to recall him expired on Monday," said a West Brom spokesperson.
West Brom’s next fixture in the Premier League is away to Reading on January 12.
