London’s first Black Christmas market to launch this season

SITUATED NEAR London’s most loved marketplaces, Black Market is proud to present their first market for black business owners and entrepreneurs, a Christmas special just off Brick Lane on 16/12/17.

A celebration and place for brands – who especially trade online only – this experience provides physical service to their supporters, as well as show how heritage with British culture embraces Christmas.

The idea for Black Market was birthed from the question: ‘where am I going to physically experience the pop-up Christmas market feeling with my friends and family and buy black?’ In the future, they plan to pop up around seasonal times of the year for consumers of all ages to participate.

2017 has truly been a year where black businesses have made a platform through social media especially, to be identified and associated as a ‘go-to’ market to look into and spend.

With many budding shopping markets within London to choose from, Brick Lane is truly the best hub for business owners to come along and not only sell to their loyal consumers who are aware of them but also together with other business owners as a collective.

Black market is an initiative and public space to empower black owned companies to sell their products and promote their businesses. Expect to see a range of vendors with limited edition type products; from beauty, menswear fashion, cuisine or skincare. Be sure to experience something spectacular, Black Magic.

The community understands the saying, it takes a village and Black Market is providing a space to physically demonstrate this. The concept is for people in general to buy black. Vendors will range from beauty brands, to London’s favourite fashion houses, children books, to food trucks – all with a Christmas spin towards it.

Noir Escape is situated right in the heart of Brick lane, a chilled place ideal for the working millennial to hang out for a drink, spectacular food and great vibes. Located behind Dark Sugars, dubbed as the better version of ‘Hotel Chocolate’ because of the variety of combined pure cocoa, vegan specialties and the best hot chocolate in east area of London.

Black Market takes place 11am-7pm on Saturday 16 December, 2017 at 49 Hanbury Street, E1
