Man who killed Usher’s stepson gets four-year jail term

JET SKI DEATH: Kile with Usher

A MAN who was convicted of killing the stepson of hip-hop star Usher has been imprisoned for four years.

Jeffrey Hubbard’s sentence comes after he was found guilty of homicide by vessel of Kile Glover in July 2012 when the jet ski he was riding hit and killed the 11-year-old child on Lake Lanier, near Atlanta.

The incident also resulted in the injury of a teenager.

The children were hit by Hubbard’s jet ski as they were being towed on an inner tube, investigators said.

The defendant’s legal team argued that Hubbard had tried to avoid hitting the children and that the incident was a tragic accident.

Kile was the son of Tameka Foster Raymond and TV executive Ryan Glover. Usher was married to Foster Raymond from 2007 to 2009 before they divorced, and the singer reportedly raised Kile since the age of four.

In 2013, Usher won custody over his two sons he had with his ex-wife following a court battle.
