The Newcastle University graduate represents the UK's northern powerhouse as well as her family's home country of Gambia. The west African country's Minister for Foreign Affairs, Ousainou Darboe Tweeted a message of support for Jarjue last night, which read:

"Do us proud, Joanna. On behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of The Gambia – Good Luck! —OD"

Sharing her desire to " people there is actually a savvy business brain somewhere under this weave" and "become the bad ass entrepreneur I've always wanted to be" with her followers, Jarjue also showed-off her playful side; revealing the following on her audition tape with a giggle:

"I actually suffer from a real-life condition, I don't care what anybody says, and it's called 'the resting bi*** face'."

Ending the clip with a rendition of Single Ladies, Jarjue told the camera:

"If I could liken myself to a famous person it would definitely be Beyonce."

The Apprentice returns to BBC1 at 9pm GMT on Wednesday October 4.
