JAILED: Corrie Ian Pinney and Jermaine Kraftner were jailed for a total of 36 years

TWO MEN were sentenced to a total of 36 years in prison for the violent rape of their female friend and 17-year-old girlfriend, it has been reported.

Jermaine Kraftner, 28, and Corrie Ian Pinney, 36, both of Yarbridge Close, Sutton, were handed down 18 years each at Croydon Crown Court, after being convicted of seven counts of rape and several other offences.

Cassie Webb, 22, who was present whilst one woman was raped was sentenced to 150 hours community service for aiding and abetting actual bodily harm.

During the trial the jury heard harrowing details from a 22-year-old woman who Kraftner and Pinney raped and violently assaulted at their home in April last year.

Police say the victim, who had known Kraftner for about five years, endured hours of violent and sexual assault at the suspects home after coming to see them to socialise following work.

The defendants were also convicted of raping a 17-year-old girl on July 28, 2009. The teen was also believed to be Pinney's girlfriend.

Detective Inspector Neil Matthews, said: "Kraftner and Pinney are without doubt dangerous sexual predators and today's sentence reflects the gravity of their offending. London will be a safer place as a result of their incarceration.

"I would like to pay tribute to both victims for their courage in giving evidence against these men. Neither showed any remorse for their actions in subjecting these women to the most horrific ordeal at their hands," he added.
