Mi-Soul radio station launches first black music record fair

ON THE HUNT: Soul radio station Mi-Soul to host its first record fair

SOUL AND dance radio station Mi-Soul is preparing to host its first black music record fair later this month.

Mi-Soul’s Record Fair will offer music lovers a great opportunity to dig through a quality selection of vinyl and meet some of Mi-Soul’s legendary DJs including Marcia Carr and Calvin Francis, who will also be selling records from their own private collections on the day.

Mi-Soul Record Fairs are set to follow in the tradition of Kiss FM’s legendary record fairs of the 90s that were launched by Mi-Soul and Kiss FM Founder, Gordon Mac, and the original Kiss FM crew.

Mac said: "We are delighted to launch the Mi-Soul Record Fair. This gives us a great opportunity to continue to celebrate the station’s love of vinyl culture with our listeners and the public at what we hope will be a great day out for everyone."

Stallholders at the event, which takes place on April 23 at the Stephen Lawrence Building in southeast London, include Barely Breaking Even Records (BBE) alongside renowned vinyl dealers selling LPs, 12” or 7”.

Mi-Soul will be broadcasting live from the fair so that even listeners unable attend can be kept up to date on the day's events.
