Michelle Obama: 'My daughters are good girls'

GOOD: Michelle Obama says her girls, Sasha and Malia are good and happy

MICHELLE OBAMA says that despite the life she is currently living, she is just like any other mother.

In a comment women the world over would resonate with, she spoke of concerns she often has about raising her two daughters, Malia, 13, and Sasha, 10.

"Like any mother, I am just hoping I don't mess them up," she admitted.

"That's all we're living to do. It's like, at the end of the day, I find myself checking with friends 'How did the girls seem?' And they'll say, 'No, they're the same kids. They're the same girls.' I'm like, 'OK, good. Just tell me if you see anything. Just let me know,'" she added.

The mother of two said that she and husband, President Obama, do their best to provide their girls with as much normal life as they possibly can and the girls' contentment is a source of her and her husband's happiness.

"They're good. That's why the president and I are so happy. Even when times are tough, in the end you are as happy as your least happy child.

"When your kids are healthy, your dog is healthy, you find that you sleep a little bit better," she continued.

The First Lady also spoke of what life in the White House has been like for the last three years.

"Malia does her own laundry, and they clean their own rooms," she said.

"The truth is, the greatest power I feel like I have is raising two more intelligent, decent people and putting them in the world prepared to give and contribute," she added.
