Miguel kicks woman on head after stage jump fail

FAN KICK: Miguel managed to accidentally launch a flying kick into the head of a female fan during a concert (PA)

SOUL CROONER Miguel said his dramatic stage fall at the Billboard Music Awards led to him meeting a “new friend.”

On Sunday night, the “Sure Thing” singer accidently landed on two fans as he performed on stage.

The Californian tried to jump over the crowd onto another part of the stage at the Las Vegas event, but ended up kicking a female fan in the head.

The 27-year-old apologised for the accident and told how he has since become friends with one of victims.

He said: "Well, I think it's kind of clear what happened. But I'm very happy to bring my new friend, Khyati, we just met.

“Unfortunately we did not meet under the best circumstances, but I think we're Ok. The crazy thing is, when you're performing and you're just kind of into it, you never know where it's gonna go and where you're gonna go with it, and how that might turn out.

“So this is one of the less favourable moments. [I] got caught up in the moment, thank goodness Khyati is Ok."
