Mike GLC walks free after Tulisa drug trial collapses

FREE MAN: Rapper Mike GLC has pleaded guilty to supplying cocaine to an undercover reporter during a newspaper sting also involving friend and former N Dubz star Tulisa Contostavlos

RAPPER MIKE GLC will walk free despite pleading guilty to supplying cocaine to an undercover reporter during a newspaper sting also involving friend and former N Dubz star Tulisa Contostavlos following the collapse of the trial today (July 21).

The pair were subject to an undercover story led by The Sun, which saw them allegedly setting up a drug deal between May 20 and May 24 last year.

Tulisa, 25, allegedly initiated the transaction with reporter Mazher Mahmood, dubbed the ''fake sheikh'', who seemingly later bought cocaine from the 35-year-old hip hop artist.

The UK singer, of Friern Barnet, north London, was charged with helping Mahmood obtain 0.5oz (13.9g) of the Class A drug for £860.

Both denied involvement in the deal, but during the trial at Southwark Crown Court in south London, Coombs admitted his role in the transaction.

However, earlier today the judge told the jury the case "cannot go any further" because there were "strong grounds to believe" that Mr Mahmood had "lied" at a hearing before the trial started.

Following the dismissal of the case, Ms Contostavlos urged police to investigate Mr Mahmood and "put an end to his deceits".
