Model wants to be first trans WOC cast by Victoria's Secret

AT PRESENT, there are two women of colour Victoria Secret angels - Jasmine Tookes and Lais Ribiero.

And as far as transwomen go or plus size models go, their are currently none that have ever signed a Victoria's Secret contract, showcasing the lack of diversity within the popular lingerie brand.

Whilst their 2017 showed more diversity in terms of models, the current roaster of VS models - including Adriana Lima, Lily Alridge, Taylor Hill, Romee Stride, Jasmine Tookes, Marloes Horst, Lais RIbiero plus more - still show a huge lack in representation.

One woman who really wants to change that it Leyna Bloom, who tweeted out a campaign to land a gig with Victoria’s Secret.

She wrote: ‘Trying to be the 1st trans model of colour [to] walk a #VictoriaSecret fashion show. #transisbeautiful #LeynaBloom.’

So far, her tweeted has been retweeted 29,000 times, with many backing her desire to get those coveted VS wings.

One twitter user said: "victoria secret give this goddess the platform asap" while another said: "You CAN and WILL do this and pave the way mama ❤️???? God Bless you !!"

Speaking to Yahoo, Bloom said: "It’s always been a dream for me, like so many others, not just trans – POC, all women, and some men even"

"This is a platform that glorifies femininity. ‘I always felt in my most natural state I am heavenly. For my trans sisters, regardless of color, this will be a moment for us all."
