Money transfer and shipping service returns to Stratford

JN MONEY Transfer is back in Stratford one year after closing its branch in the east London district.

24/7 Shipping Limited, the company’s newest agent, opened its doors on July 24 much to the joy of local customers left unable to send money and items home following the closure of the branch in December 2013.

Paulette Sterling, territory manager of JN Money Services in the UK, said she was delighted to have added 24/7 Shipping to the company’s growing portfolio.

“It’s a pleasure to have on board 24/7 Shipping Limited as part of the JN Money Transfer network,” she said. “JN Money Transfer is always seeking opportunities to develop community relations and broaden our reach through agent expansion. Mel Blake, Sales Manager of 24/7 Shipping Limited, said he hoped the partnership would “benefit the community” and serve as an “opportunity to develop our business”.

She said: “When we began the shipping company, we looked forward to partnering with JN Money Transfer as the company has always supported the development of small businesses and we thought this was a benefit to us and the black community and it was an opportunity for us to move forward and develop our business and serve the community.”

Jennifer Mullings, director of 24/7 Shipping Limited, said the union “gives us as a small business more credibility”.

JN Money Transfer has 48 agents and 8 branches in the UK.

The company is hosting its first Business Opportunity Event on Aug 27, 2014, in Manchester with aims of recruiting new agents to better serve the Diaspora and new markets.
