TURN THIS CLUB AROUND By R.I.O

HAVE you been lacking energy lately, missing the vital Vitamin D that the sun usually brings? Well, the new single by international trio R.I.O will pick you up and turn your spirits around.

Giving you a hands-in-the-air kinda feeling, this dance track has all the beats of a Taio Cruz smash, with the electric voice of group member U-Jean and the reggae styling of vocalist Tony T.

The track has been at the top of the charts in Germany, Switzerland, Austria and the Netherlands, and reached number three in Japan. Clearly, these boys are going to be big in 2012.

RADIO MUSIC SOCIETY By Esperanza Spalding

LISTENING to this album, it’s easy to see why Esperanza Spalding beat off the likes of Drake and Justin Bieber to win the 2011 Grammy Award for Best New Artist. This album is fresh.

Positive energy oozes from her lyrics like a freshly bitten cherry tomato. The use of electric organs, trumpets and bass guitar take the music from the studio and into the pulpit, with vocals that sound like they are heralding the arrival of a new age of jazz.

For anyone who reminisces about the days gone by, when soulful jazz melodies were the soundtrack of the time, this album is for you. It promises to reinvigorate the genre of jazz. Look out for the tracks Radio Song and Black Gold; feel good summer tracks for sure.

Out March 19 on Decca Records
